My family and I went to the coast to get water and fish. Something caught my eye but I was not exactly sure what it was. I told my family to get back to the tribe. I stood their, thinking it might be another tribe, but it it was huge, and scary. So I ran back, told everyone to be careful. I went back their to see if they were close. They screeched to a halt.

White men came out. I've never seen anything like them.

They had weirdly shaped shiny tools, one looked sharp. They spotted me and point a gun at me. I knew what it was from some stories I read. I ran, and ran, and ran until I got back, I told everyone to hide. My family hid under the bed. I hid behind the house thinking of an attack. Then I went out with sharp stones, I got caught and was shot in the leg.
