“There’s just something about a Teddy Bear that’s impossible to explain. When you hold one in your arms, you get a feeling of love, comfort and security. It’s almost supernatural.”
-James Ownby

"How is she doctor?" "The surgery was a success but your daughter suffered a pretty bad break in her leg." "How did this happen Maude?" "The school called and said that she slipped and fell in the change room after gym class. I know she's not the most coordinated kid but I don't think she fell on her own." "What makes you say that?" "She hasn't been herself the past couple of weeks. She's very quiet at home and it seems like the only one she'll talk to is Mr. Bear." "Folks, it's been a long day for everyone. Maddie is fast asleep right now and I suggest you head home and try to get some rest. You can see her in the morning." "Thanks doctor."

"Mr Bear was more than a stuffed animal. He was also Maddie's best friend. She got him for Christmas a few years ago and ever since, he has not left her sight. Some people say that Maddie is too old to be carrying around a stuffed bear. But for a shy, introverted girl, there was something about Mr. Bear that brought out a side in her that nobody else saw. Poor Maddie was picked on by the older girls at school for having a Teddy Bear. They teased her all the time and called her names. After gym class, one of the "cool girls" at school tried to embarrass Maddie by taking her bear. As she tried to retrieve the bear, Maddie slipped on the floor and broke her leg.

When Maddie got Mr. Bear from Papa Bear's Bear Emporium, it was love at first sight. She doted on her plush little buddy and brought him everywhere she went. They've been together for five years now and are the best of friends. Sure Maddie does all the talking but Mr. Bear is always willing to listen. He does whatever he can to cheer her up when she scrapes her knee or has the blues. There is nothing that Mr. Bear wouldn't do for Maddie. And I mean nothing. Mr. Bear still keeps in touch with his former toy store buddies and whenever one of them needs something, the others bears are always willing to lend a helping paw.

PAPA BEAR'S
TEDDY BEAR EMPORIUM

Papa Bear was an elderly gentleman and a real kind soul. He lovingly built every bear with his own hands. He treated them like they were his own children. He talked to all the bears in the store and believe it or not, they would talk back. It was their own little secret. Papa Bear retired a year ago but is always available when one of his former Teddy Bears needs help. Mr. Bear's friends include: Roosevelt, the intellectual, Kodi (short for Kodiak) the cutie, and Grizz, the strong silent type. Following Maddie's injury, Mr. Bear had no choice but to get the band back together to remedy the situation. They reunited at Papa Bear's Teddy Bear Emporium.

"Gentlemen, it's nice to see you all again. I wish it was under happier circumstances." "How's Maddie doing anyways?" Roosevelt inquired. "She's in a lot of pain and will have to wear a cast for a couple of months but she's a tough kid." "What happened?" Kodi asked. "She was bullied by a group of sixth graders in the locker room. They made fun of her for having a Teddy Bear" "Grrrrrr!" Grizz growled. "These are the so-called 'cool girls', Montana, Dakota, and Tiffany. I want to teach these girls a lesson that they'll never forget." "What did you have in mind Mr. Bear?" Papa Bear wondered. "Here's the plan" he began as they all gathered around.
Cheveux par Charles

"Like, OMG girls! I can't believe we're here. Charles is one of the top hairstylists in the world. Here's the plan, my Mom is going to drop us off to get our hair done. And then, get ready for this girls, we're going shopping!" Montana exclaimed. "OMG!" the other girls squealed. "We are going to look so amazing for the school dance on Friday. All the boys will staring at us. Like as if they don't already" Tiffany giggled. As they walked in, the girls noticed that the usual receptionist was not there. "Uh, we have an appointment with Charles" Dakota said. "Ah, oui. Have a seat and I will let Charles know you are here" the odd-looking receptionist replied.
