He helped General I. Popescu to execute a vigorous counterattack for destroying the enemy entered into the defense device of his 10th Infantry Division.
The action was well thought out and executed with great boldness and skill. Counterattack was executed in two converging directions, with the battalions in the division reserve, surprising the forces in the rupture of the enemy. The heroic act committed by Nicolae Miclescu was not an individual one.
The captain was noted for the decisions he made in his battalion. Battalion 1 moved from 11.00 on the south-eastern corner of the Răzoare forest, the western side of the Negraponte vineyards, and at the right moment it struck by surprise in the right flank and behind the enemy group penetrating the center of the Romanian division's device.
