We have lots of germs on our hands.   Germs 

are so tiny we can't see them, but germs can 

make us sick.   We get germs from door knobs, 

handling money, balls from the playground and 

from anything else we touch.   Can you think of 

other things we touch that have germs?

It's important to wash our hands several 

times each day.   You should ALWAYS use 

soap when washing you hands.   Can you 

think of a time you should wash your hands?

Wash your hands after using the restroom.   Be 

sure to flush BEFORE you wash.

Wash your hands before and after you eat.

Wash your hands after petting an animal or 

taking out the trash.

Wash your hands after you pick your nose or 

blow it.   Don't touch anyone if you have dirty 

hands.

When washing your hands you should sing the 

song Happy Birthday or say the ABC's two 

times through.   Scrub your palms, the back of 

your hands and in between your fingers.

Remember, it's important to wash our hands 

throughout the day.   This helps our bodies stay 

healthy and not get sick from the germs we 

can not see.
