Santa Maria da Feira is a town located 15 Km southeast Arcozelo.

His military chief, the "Alcaide", helped D. Afonso Henriques to beat his mother and become Count of Portugal!

People say that, a long time ago, a pretty Muslim Princess lived in the well of this castle. She was captive behind a gold grid and to save her from the well two bulls were required.









One fine day, a farmer tried to get the golden grid.








He tied the golden grid to the bulls, that achieved to reach the top of the well...
