BALÇOVA ANATOLIAN HIGH SCHOOL
WHAT DOES EIS MEAN FOR YOU ?
Eis is the answer for what can make a teacher the happiest person in the world. From the very beginning of this project first we as Balçova Anatolian High School believed in each other and completed each other from different aspects then we chose to cooperate with our partner schools as teachers and students without any prejudice. Our pale and dark corridors transformed into a living street with english conversations by our students own hand made materials like q-matic, X-ray machine and decorations. EIS helped them to penetrate their poetic nature and we watch their performances with admiration, for the first time in their language learning journey, they tasted the beauty of literature with its pure taste. All the students experienced the team work and cooperation and they put a sign an unforgettable products through years. English In street was a pace setter by all other project coordinators yet unfortunately they could not make it happen as its original one. After second jump, they could not move on. The core of success is believing. Unless one can believe, one can not achieve. We worked day & night and at semester holiday without considering the time. EIS made me feel that I’m a real teacher throughout my 23 years of teaching career. EIS made me dream of the highest dreams to make my students dream come true.
ISIS O CONTI/ ITALY
When we started English in Street, in October, I was quite puzzled because it was my first e-twinning experience and I felt it very hard to explore the system and to be a co-foundator at the same time.
The project was well structured and very useful to learn communicative functions in situation. It was funny but very expensive in terms of time, as my classes have only three hours of English per week and I knew we had to do everything at school, so little time was left for other activities during my lessons.
We found our way to change our school: we overcame the denial to paint our corridor, changing our classroom in a very colourful way and we received a lot of positive comments. Month after month we invented boards which were doors (the tolerance door), columns (autism awareness day), and our mottos are still on our windows (to shadow us from the sun )
The nicest part was to write comments in the platform, as most of my students were really committed and interested into it. Acting dialogues was at first a real challenge, but soon it became a funny game. All students wanted to play a role and I tried to involve all of them more and more. Effects? Positive effects are that they all are in love with English now.
Even more surprising was the effect of the dissemination action in my school, all the students invited asked to their teachers to be a part of EIS, and I gave lessons in other classes about some parts of English in Streets.
All my doubts were solved thanks to the founder of the project, Mr Aydin, who was always ready to help, and whom I thank for this nice experience.

English in Street was a beginning for our school. It was an unforgettable experience for our school which is far away from the city centre and it let our students liven up their school lives. Our corridors have come to life thanks to monthly themes in the project. Moreover, English in Street helped our students not only improve their language skills but also their social skills as well. Using various computer programmes, drawing on the walls and pa,nting them, singing Sway song and all other activities contributed to their many-sided improvement. All in all, being a part of this project was amazing for me and my students. Thank you :)

Dervişpaşa Anatolian High School Project Summary
As Dervişpaşa Anatolian High School, we joined English in Street e-twinning project with two English Language teachers. Gülşah Kılınç and Nilay Oğlakkaya set up two different groups. Each group consisted of 10 students. We started our project activities in December,2018.During the project each group took part in all project tasks separately. We designed airport, café, hotel, bank, library, souvenir, hospital, cinema and post office corners. Each group shot their own videos in these corners. All of the students took responsibilities eagerly. They enjoyed preparing the corners, rehearsing and acting in the videos. Values such as friendship, love and tolerance were emphasized with project boards made with Web 2 tools and watching films like Hachi:A Dog’s Tale, Secret Superstar and Taare Zameen Par.
WHAT A SWAYING YEAR!
First of all, I would like all you to know that I am writing these words on behalf of my EIS heroes. As an observer and teacher of them, I must say that they have experienced a great year and different activities as a student, maybe for the first time in their lives. Most of them think the school is a place where teachers tell something and they listen and learn it, but EIS has shown that the school can be a productive and entertaining learning environment as well. As a result of this, they start to come to the school eagerly and feel themselves as an important part of this school. EIS provides them different perspective and as a teacher of them, I am very glad to see it. As my final words, I must say that I am feeling really happy to be a part of this great EIS family and to meet amazing people. I hope EIS will give us big motivation in order to be a part of other swaying projects. EIS FOREVER.

Adana Male Anatolian High School: English in Street Project summary
This year we were also a member of the English in Street Project, written and coordinated by Muhammed Samet AYDIN. This amazing project had many beneficial effects on the students and teachers involved. Firstly, with the monthly dialogue tasks, our students had the chance to use spoken English in a natural way. As they are shy and not confident enough to speak in a foreign language, thanks to this project they have overcome their prejudice and are now eager to use English verbally. Also their abilities to accomplish a project increased a lot. They learned to coordinate and socialize with each other. Moreover they learned to take on duties and complete them in time. Secondly, our students showed increased awareness on issues like International Women’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Safer Internet Day and World Autism Day. Additionally students cared about values like friendship, tolerance, love etc. and payed attention to cultural and religious events, which raised their cultural awareness. Through this project our school corridors regained a fresh new touch and students at our school raised increased interest towards English. Finally, as part of this project, I can say that the coordination of the schools and the contributions to all of the tasks were amazing. With these words we want to say ‘thank you’ to all the participants.

ENGLISH IN STREET
English In Street is a window opened to the joy of English. During the process, we all became a part of this joy and learned English. Especially our students could stop their fear of speaking English and improve their pronunciation, and this is the most important profit of the project,EIS. Outputs of the project were created by the students and all the project students built the street on their own. Eventually, happiness when they saw the whole made us excited. Therefore , both our and our students’ motivation has increased. Shy and silent students in the class have gained self confidence and our English success has stepped up.
As the English Street was getting completed, it took the attention of the other students and teachers. During the breaks and lunch times our students spent time in the street we had built and examined English books, practiced English brick by brick. And the teachers wondered about our studies, constantly asked questions about the street. After learning the aim of the project, they liked it and congratulated us. So this project has became the source of proud for us.
Finally, this project which hugs and unites the whole school has made us satisfied.

English Teacher English Teacher
At the beginning of this education year , our English teachers told us that there was a project called “English In Street” as an e-Twinning project. We – both our teachers and students – didn’t know anything about e-Twinning and its projects. One of the things we learnt in this project is how to run an e-Twinning project.
As time passed,we learnt about the details of the project. It was about the dialogues commonly used in English in daily life.Speaking English is very difficult for us and this was one of the reasons our teachers joined this project. We were supposed to act these dialogues in places like a hotel, library or a bank.At first,we thought about how we should arrange these places at school. After some discussion,we decided to paint one of the walls in the school. There are some students good at drawing and painting. They helped us about it while we were memorizing our dialogues.Every month after the painting was finished,we acted and recorded our roles. The recording period was very enjoyable. We had great time with our teachers. One of the most important contribution of this project is these funny moments. Thanks to this project , there is a lovely wall in our school now.Besides, other students and theachers can use these dialogues and develop their English. Also, we had the chance to talk with other students from different cities and express our likes and interests.
When it was June , our wall was finished .As the school was coming to an end, “English in Street “became a bigger project praised by everybody. This year wasn’t a monotonous and ordinary school year for us because we were a part of this project and EIS family. We are thankful to Mr.Muhammet Aydın for this amazing experience.....
PURSAKLAR ANATOLIAN IMAM HATIP HIGH SCHOOL
Our first duty was preparing a logo . This was really enjoyable for my students. The students in this project are not good at English so learning the meanings and the pronounciation of the words took time ; but they had enjoyable times while preparing the corners and acting the dialogues. It was a different experience to use word art . They really liked using the programme. This project is really a different experience and an enjoyable work for my student

ŞİLE OYA ALİ OSMAN KEÇİCİ SOCIAL SCIENCES HIGH SCHOOL
When we decided to participate in this project , didn't think that my students (also other schools' students would take advantage of that street too much but everything was different, not as usual as other projects. That project gave us lots of opportunities such as there is a live street in our school now , We are better at how we use technology what makes our lives, works easier also enjoyable, we did great works . My volunteer students have started to have fun with those corners. Firstly, they learnt to cooperation, all of them have enjoyed while working on, rehearsing dialogues, trying to learn what is important in learning English and the most substantial part is participation, being together They made it and as their teacher I am very glad to see all of it thanks to our coordinator Mr Aydın to give us this chance . We all did our corners with our efforts. In the first part, we painted our walls to the concept of themes like at cinema,at the libarary or at the post office and then did our dialogues that was unbelievable other students of our school also joined that. Every corner has its own beauty, helps them to live in the street! They play, they sit, they read lots of things like that..
All term passed and we finished our project themes unfortunately but after we used those corners for other schools in our neighborhood. ,they came and see , our students studied dialogues with them and they all enjoyed... Thanks to our Beloved project EIS. That was a great experience for me also for my students.

Arpaçbahşiş Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School-Mersin
Being a part of English in Street project is a great experience for me and my students. I have participated such a big event for the first time and my project founder coordinated the project in an excellent way. Mr. Aydın and my other collegues have taught me a lot about e-twinning projects.
At first my students were worried about their English is not good. They thought they could not be successful in the dialogues because of their poor English. As the time passed by they felt they could do something. They saw they can act and read the sentences correctly if they study enough. The feeling of success gave confidence to them. Most say that the students of the vocational schools can't do anything, especially they say they can't be successful at such kind of activities, projects, etc. The success of my students showed it is not true. My students have accomplished the project successfully.
The project was important for my school, too. We have an English street now. All the other students in the school like the street and they want to be a part of the street activities. The other English teachers of our school have great places to study speaking classes now. The project made a difference at the school. The ordinary and boring school corridors became a colourful place.
I want to thank all of the participants in the project, but especially my project founder for being so helpful and creative. Thank you my dear EIS family!

İZMİR GAZİEMİR MARTYR MURAT YILDIZ MULTI PROGRAM ANATOLIAN HIGH SCHOOL
Hi! I am the English teacher of İzmir Gaziemir Martyr Murat Yıldız Multi Program Anatolian High School. I am very glad to be part of this unique project with my beloved thirteen students. We have done all the steps of the project with joy and enthusiasm. I’ve had the chance of getting very close to my students. It was my first project experience and it is a big chance that it occured with English in Street. We are all around the Turkey as schools but I felt very close to all the members. Doing the same activities and having the same street was just like being neighbours. Working with my students till the school is closed have never been so funny. They forced us to leave the school many times. And of course the project’s schedule was perfect. There was no place to worry about the tasks. Everything has already been there when we needed. Thanks to Muhammet Aydın, we are a part of this big family and we have experienced such a productive year.
