This is Chila, a very friendly and adorable kitty. She lives in the big, brown house with her owners.

This is Sammy. He is shy and hides in his shell, as you can see, when he is around other animals, except for Chila.

Sammy and Chila are best friends. Even though Chila has other friends and Sammy doesn’t, Chila's favorite is still Sammy because he is kind and more fun than the other animals.

Every day they play games like Tag, Hide and Seek, or anything they can think of. They also like to tell jokes and tease each other.

One day something clumsy happens. REALLY clumsy. It’s just like usual but WAY worse.

It all began when Chila waved, "Hi" to Sammy from the top window of her house. It was like she did everyday to greet her friend but...

SHE

GOT STUCK!!

Sammy was so worried about his friend. “What if she gets hurt up there?!” He snuck into the house and tried to help Chila out of the window.

He pulled and pulled and pulled, but she wouldn’t budge. She was REALLY stuck! “Maybe stuck forever,” Sammy thought.

Sammy tried to get Chila’s owners' attention, so they could get Chila out of the window. They were so big, and Sammy was afraid of them. Sammy decided that talking to the humans was a bad idea because they could hurt him.

He had to get Chila out because she was his best friend. So he thought and thought and thought and thought of ideas to get Chila out.

Until he came up with one of the best ideas, but he needed help from other animals. Other animals in the forest that lived behind his pond.

He couldn’t talk to the other animals because he was terrified of talking to animals other than Chila.  

What was Sammy going to do? His BEST friend was stuck. Chila couldn’t be his best friend if she was in a window.

He would have to go to the forest and TALK to the animals. Sammy didn’t want to do that.

He decided he had to go to the forest and TALK to the animals because Chila was more important than his fear. He had to get out of his shell and stick his head out into the world.

So he began to walk to the forest.
