Hi, I'm Emma! Wanna go on an adventure with me? I'm traveling around to learn more about people and the struggles they've experienced. Come on, let's go!!

The first group is Native Americans. As the US expanded westward, many Native Americans were forced off their land and onto reservations. Some reservations include Navajo Nation, Cheyenne River Indian Reservation and Crow Indian Reservation, also known as Crow Nation.

Many reservations that Native Americans live on struggle with high crime, high poverty, and high unemployment rates. All these things added up together create very unfavorable conditions to live in.

There are many stereotypes of Native Americans. Those stereotypes are the representation that most movies and pop culture place into view of those unfamiliar with Native Americans and their traditions and history. These inaccurate representations lead to some Native Americans being discriminated against in society.

The next group is African Americans. In the south, African Americans were discriminated against in multiple ways. One of the ways was through Jim Crow laws and segregation.

Not only was there segregation in public, but schools were segregated too. However, this was ruled as unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in the court case Brown v. Board of Education.

Across the south, many African Americans had their right to vote limited throughout various methods that include literacy tests, poll taxes, and threats of violence against them. These methods were in acted after the 15th Amendment, which made it illegal to deny someone the right to vote due to their race and color of their skin.

Not only were African Americans denied the right to vote, women were also denied the right to vote. Women fought for the right to vote, and eventually gained that right through the 19th Amendment.

Women also faced discrimination in the work force, due to the society stereotype that women are inferior to men. Women are also paid less than men for the same job, this is called the wage gap.

Throughout history, Women have had multiple movements to gain equal rights. These movements have focused on many different things ranging from voting rights to body rights.
