I'm creating this story book for my pop culture class to see the difference in the potato chip history and how they have changed or have stayed the same through out the years.

In 1853, George Crum a Native American/African American chef, had a customer complain that his french fries that he orders where to thick

So George took the fries back and tried to cut them smaller, but the customer complained that there still to thick.

finally goerge went back to the kitchen to make the cutomer an other batch with fries that where to thin to even eat with a fork.

Goerge took the flat fry to the cutomer hoping that they will be happy with what he has finally braught back and thats what they where looking for.

Goerge got back to the table with the chip and the customer was happy with the final result. and that's how we got the potato chip today

The potato chip
A few years later george opened a restrant and started making his own potato chips called Saratoga Chips and potato crunches

Saratoga Chips and potato crunches
then Goerge sold them in new England and William Tappendon manufactured and marketed the chips in Cleveland, Ohio

$3.50 from my bags of chips

Eventually in 1920, William sold potato chips to the southern states in the USA, but they way he was selling them was from the trunk of his car.

In 1930, Laura Scudder a lady in California that owned her own potato chip factory cam up with the waxy bag to keep them fresh and crunchy like the bags we have today.
