Story 1

The Three Tow Truck Brothers Work Together

One sunny day, Terry the tour bus was driving into the mountains. He was purple. He was excited to make this drive.

As he began to head up the first hill, his engine began to make knocking noises. He started to slow down. Then he stopped. Smoke poured from his engine. He had broken down. He was sad.

Terry called Billy the tow truck to help him.

Bill was very excited. He wanted to help. He connected his hook to Terry. He pulled as hard as he could.

Billy couldn't tow Terry. He wasn't strong enough. Billy was upset. He had really wanted to help.

Billy called his brother Gary. Gary was bigger and stronger than Billy. He was a green tow truck.

But Gary could not tow Terry either. Terry was just too big.

So Billy called Roger. Roger was Billy's oldest brother. He was even stronger than Gary. He was a red tow truck.

Roger was the strongest of the tow truck brothers. But he could not tow Terry. The bus was just too big.

Roger thought about the problem. Alone, none of the trucks could tow the heavy bus.

But what if they worked as a team?

"I think if we all worked together, we could tow the bus," Roger said.

All 3 tow truck brothers hooked their cables up to the bus.

They started to pull.

The pulled. They tugged. Slowly, the bus started to move. It was working!

"Thank you for towing me to the garage," said Terry. "Now the mechanic can fix me."

The tow truck brothers were happy they could help Terry. It felt good to help their friend. It also felt good to work together.
