Tessellation- An arrangement of shapes closely fitted together, especially of polygons in a repeated pattern without overlapping.
Directions to start the project
- Open Geogebra Remove the axes and the grid
- Select the Reguler polygon tool

- Make two random points then select 3 vertices
Select the pen tool

- Draw an irregular edge by starting at any vertices
- then draw this shape
- Select the rotate around a point tool
- Select the line you just drew and point A
- Chose 60 Degrees clockwise

- Then pick the midpoint or center tool
- Then click line BC
- Draw another irregular edge like this one
- Click on the rotate around point tool as seen earlier Click on the line and then point D
- Chose 180 degrees counter clockwise

Product:

Now you need to make sure that your shape does in fact tessellate. To do that you need to click on the rotate around point tool. Then proceed to highlight your whole figure and click on any point to rotate your shape around. Choose 60 Degreesclockwise or counter clockwise it doesn't matter. After you have finished that you will need to repeat this process five more times. If your shape doesn't over lap then it will tessellate.

Now you're set to print. You need to go to geogebra and print two of your fully rotated figures. click print preview and then click print.

Now that you have two printed papers you need to make a design I made a dog design. after making your design you need to actually hand tessellate them. you will then need to trace your shape onto your paper and begin tessellating Trace your shape in the upper left After tracing your shape translate it to the right. Continue this until your paper is full of your tessellation.
