Chapter 1:

The Basics

We all love rocks right? What child doesn't love to play with rocks. We play with them at recess and before dinner at home. Sadly, rocks go through something called weathering. Weathering is where rocks are broken down into more tiny rocks. This sounds good because there's more rocks right? Wrong! Who likes to play with tiny rocks instead of big rocks? Not you I hope!

Chapter 2:

The 2 Types

There are 2 different ways the rocks will break down into tiny other rocks. The first way is mechanical weathering. This is when the rock gets broken down but is still kept the same exact way. Chemical weathering is when the rock is still broken down but in this version the rock has been changed. The rock is different from its original form.
