Endangered
Komodo Dragons are endangered, which means they close to going extinct or close to not having any living members left. With there only being 2900 left in the world they do not have much time before they go extinct from the planet forever.

Habitat
The Komodo Dragon lives on 5 islands in south eastern Indonesia. The islands are volcanic in origin and are rugged and hilly with savanna grasslands and forest covering the islands. Komodo dragons have the smallest home range of any large predator.
Characteristics
Komodo Dragons are large and dragon like lizards. They have rough, durable skin reinforced with osteoderms that protects them from bites and scratches from other animals. Their colors range from black to yellow-gray, they have a long muscular tail and strong, powerful claws. They range from 6 feet for females to 10 feet for males.
Diet and Routine
The Komodo Dragon primarily eats Timor deer but will also eat buffalo, wild pigs, and fish that wash up on shore. They start their day by crawling out of their burrow and find a sunny spot to warm up, then they hunt for a breakfast. After that they take a nap then they have a afternoon meal before they go back to the burrow to rest for the night.
Biome Information
The Komodo Dragon lives in Savanna grasslands, and Forests. The temperature gets to 95 degrees Fahrenheit and the precipitation gets to 180-320 cm per year. Plants in this biome include Fern, Lichen and moss, other animals beside the komodo dragon are Sumatran tigers and Timor deer.
Symbiosis
The Komodo Dragon and the habitat create a symbiosis relationashipof commensalism. The trees provide for the Komodo Dragon with shade but the trees get nothing back in return and no not benefit.
Interesting Facts
Some interesting facts about the Komodo Dragon are their saliva contains harmful bacteria. They go through 4-5 five sets of teeth throughout their lifetime, and they eat extremely fast, they can go through 5.5 pounds of meat in one minute.
Why they are Endangered?
Komodo Dragons are endangered because their habitats and homes are being destroyed, grass lands are being burned down and forests are being cut down. That prevents them from being able to hunt Timor deer and have a good food supply. There are only around 2900 Komodo Dragons left.
