Delightful Petra was beaming from cheek to cheek, as she walked to her classroom. Petra was over the moon excited because she was starting her first day of year 5 in a new school.

She could not wait to meet everyone in her class and make new friends.

Petra walked into the classroom, found her seat and began a day filled with learning, but most importantly making new friends. Sarah saw the new girl Petra and said hi and introduced herself.

The lunch time bell chimed, and Petra walked out on to the playground.

She noticed a group of kids from her class playing hop scotch.

Petra approached them and said Hi, she asked if she could join their game because hop scotch was one of her favorite games.

Betty introduced herself and said that there were already too many people and that Petra could not join. 

Petra spent the rest of her lunch break sitting out, she began to feel sad as she watched everyone else playing and having fun. 

The next day at lunch Petra tried again to join the game of hop scotch she was soooo keen to play. 

But once again Betty did not let her. Not only did she not let her join the game, but Betty began talking about Petra behind her back with her friends.

Sarah heard what was being said and felt what was happening was not right and did not like seeing Petra so upset.
