In 1918, World War 1 came to a close. Through 1919 to 1929 an era most famously known as 'The Roaring 20's' had begun. This was an era of morality, partying, and changing social codes.



Women gained more freedoms and independence and started moving out into big cities, making a life for themselves.
The president at the time, Warren Harden had a less ambitious foreign policy and wanted more production in the US. He started the isolationism movement for America
Another thing that happened in the roaring 20s was the prohibition. A new law declared alcohol illegal. New secret clubs popped up called speakeasy's. This was a way for people to drink in secret
The Harlem Reniassance was a big cultural, intellectual and artistic explosion centered in Harlem, New York. It was a big movement for many African Americans
