Why was my mom so happy? She went somewhere earlier and came back smiling more than normal.

Later she got me and my sisters ready to go somewhere. She told us we were going to see a dog. We wanted a dog for a long time.

We went to the pound and saw a big alaskan sled dog. We spent time alone with him. We all really liked him.

The workers took him to get him a new collar. My mom had to get a nametag and pay. We were exited to take him home and play with him.

Then a worker came and told us we couldnt take him home. The dog had nipped at the worker when she was putting his collar on.

We were all so sad. We still wanted a dog. The pound said theyd find us a differnt one but mom didnt want to. she was too sad. She told us we will get a dog later.
