Sleep is a very important factor in our lives. We spend about 1/3 of our lives sleeping. ALong with sleeping comes dreaming. We each spend around 2 hours dreaming each night.

Sleep Is Important
It is very common to not remember your dreams. Dreaming can help process your emotions. Your emotions are also able to control your dreams .People suffering from anxiety or stress are more likely to have nightmares.

Dreams
Sleep can also play a huge role in your health. Heart disease, diabetes, and depression have been linked to sleep deprivation. Your diet can also be affected by sleep. Tiredness can cause you to be hungry.

Sleep Can Affect Your Health
Humans tend to spend most of our time sleeping. We sleep an average of 25 years sleeping. Did you know that we are the only mammals that delay sleep?

How much time we actually spend sleeping
Some extra facts:
-Sea otters hold hands when they sleep so that way they don't drift away
-You have an average of 4 to 6 dreams a night
-Most of your dreams involve your daily events
-Not everybody sleeps in color
-It is possible to die of sleep deprivation
-Genes play an important role in how we sleep
