Dedicated to Mr Minard and Carson Brooking...

Dividing Vietnam
Vietnam was divided at the 17th parrallel. Half of it was communist, the other half was capitalist. I knew war was coming, however what eventually came was not what I expected.

As I was walking in Saigon, I could not believe what I was seeing. A Buddhist monk began burning himself alive in the middle of the street as an act of protest to expose the Diem regime.

There was an incident in the Gulf of Tonkin. I was on a patrol when we were unsuccessfully attacked.
The Gulf of Tonkin resolution gave the president the power to "take all necessary measures" to protect Southeast Asian countries.

The military put in place a new operation today. It is entitled "Operation Rolling Thunder". We bombed the crap out of the VC in South Vietnam as an attempt to boost morale.

The North began a new offensive a couple months ago. They have been attacking me and my men for weeks. They call it the "Tet Offensive".

Me and the boys rolled up on My Lai this morning. We killed every one of them, all 300 some maybe more. They got what they deserved.
