That evening, in the presence of the setting sun, Alemia turns around after Hans calls her name. There she sees him kneeling with a dainty gold ring between his fingers. The love and joy builds up inside Alemia, and she shouts, “Yes!” Hans slips the ring gently on her finger, and they embrace each other. They both swiftly stroll back to the manor with hands linked together. Alemia and Hans are a unique couple because their relationship was a disgrace to the nobles, and the peasants knew they were to stay within their rank. Alemia is a peasant, and Hans is a knight, and due to feudalism, they were breaking the law. Peasants could not change their “status” no matter how hard they worked, but Alemia and Hans broke from tradition. Hans’ evil mother strongly disagreed with the decision her perfect son made, to marry a peasant, but luckily she died, and was out of their way. Their love for each other was so powerful that nothing could stop them from being together.

The next day, Alemia puts on a simple, rich-blue dress she’s been making during the past week in hopes of a wedding soon to occur. In his bedchamber, Hans was getting ready as well in his garments. They both knew the wedding was going to be quaint, and this is the way they wanted it to be because today was their day to celebrate one another and their love. The couple was in the presence of the priest and the ceremony began. They poured out their undying love into their vows. Hans said when he first saw her, he loved how tender-hearted she was, and always tried to be positive when she was working in the fields. Alemia announced why she loved him. It was because of how kind he is to her, and how loyal he is to those he loves and honors. At last, Alemia and Hans were married, and the sun was setting in the background.
Alemia and Hans were enjoying their married life, and they tended to stay happily married until they died. Little did they know that Alemia was bearing their first child! Everyone in the household was rejoicing and preparing for the bundle of joy that was about to enter their lives. Finally, the day came, Alemia was laying on her bed with the servants comforting her. Hans knew of a good doctor who was there to advise if any complications occurred. After a long labor was the birth of a healthy baby girl, and she was named Rona.

Years passed, and the new family bonded together and frolicked in their happiness, they shared this with everyone they knew. The king noticed this about the two, and they all became great friends, and Hans was awarded a lordship, but soon they had less time for Rona. Rona didn’t have any friends close by, so she played and went on adventures with her father’s horse, Amanda. While her parents were working, her friendship with Amanda grew. Amanda was having the time of her life and very much enjoyed being friends with Rona. She was honored to serve Hans as his horse, but it was nice to have a break from working and battling other men and their horses.

Alemia and Hans eventually became busier with their duties, they never had time for a family meal and were unaware, of how much older Rona was becoming. After a while, Amanda wasn’t needed to serve Hans as his horse, but as his transportation. Suddenly Alemia was unable to do her duties because she was expecting again! The couple loves their daughter, but they were hoping for a baby boy because they were very important in society. Tragically, two deaths were announced in the house the day of the birth. Alemia died in labor and the baby was stillborn. The household immediately was mourning and preparing for a funeral. A beautiful ceremony was held to honor a beloved wife, mother, and friend and to the little one that was lost.
The family mourned of their loved ones they lost for years after, but Alemia said before she died that she wanted Hans to find another person to love so that he may be happy once again, but he knew he was not ready. Hans took this time as an opportunity to bond with his daughter and be able to comfort each other. This made Rona very happy to get all the love from her father and share her’s with him like old times.
On a cloudy day, Hans was requested by the king and said to Rona he wouldn't see her until the next day. Rona decided to use this time to practice her horse-riding skills with Amanda. In the morning, Rona woke up to the sounds of horseshoes clicking against the road. When she looked out her bedroom window, she saw multiple horses with her father and three other women. Hans introduced Lady Becki and her daughters, Lola and Charli. Hans explained to Rona what her mother had said to him before she died, and he was now ready. Lady Becki’s husband passed away a couple of years ago from a mysterious disease, and she was searching for a new husband. Immediately, Hans and Becki were married, and Rona received not only a stepmother but two stepsisters who seemed sweet at first.
