Her work highlights the significance of protective factors within a child's environment, that will produce positive behavioral health outcomes. Each series of SugarPie identify prevention science themes,the family theory, and a developmental target group. Dr. Bryant was a "SugarPie" herself, a nickname her grandmother created for her when she was a child.
Hi! My name is Alivia, and I'm grandma's SugarPie. This is Graham! Say Hi, Graham!
Grandma picks me up from school everyday and takes me to the grocery store.
We bought fresh apples,sweet potatoes, and cherries today.
Tonight, we had veggie soup and bread. Grandma says they'll help me grow big and strong.
Even though I wanted cherry pie, grandma says we're making sweet potato. That's okay with me because both are so yummy. Just a small piece, so I won't get a tummy ache.
Daddy picks me up after dessert, and we go home. But before we do...
SUGARPIE!!
Grandma asks me for three kisses, and a hug for good luck.

On our way home, we sang our ABC's and danced.
