To all the students who love fairy tales.

In a land far, far away lived a princess named Snow White. Snow White lived alone in a cottage in the woods and had to learn to grow a garden to feed herself.

Learning how to garden was challenging at first. Snow White didn't know which plants would help each other grow or which plants shouldn't be planted together. One day a garden gnome appeared with seeds. The gnome knew that Snow White would process this new information best if she was taught using a variety of teaching strategies.

The garden gnome wanted to start with inquiry-based instruction. He asked Snow White to think about which vegetable and flowers she would like to grow and eat.

The gnome was happy to teach her about the ancient three sisters method for growing these compatible plants. Snow White used technology to research this ancient method and understand why these plants were beneficial to each other.
