One day at the park, Jack asks his friend Cory if he wants to come over for a play date.

Sure, Jack!

Hey Cory, do you want to have a play date at my house?

Cory and Jack go back to Jack's house. When they get there, they pull out Jack's baseball gear and begin to play.

After a few innings, the boys grow bored and hungry. So they head inside to get a snack.

They go to the kitchen to see what they want to eat, when they spotted the perfect snack for a play date.

Jack's mom always kept the cookie jar on the kitchen table so that Jack could always have his favorite snack.

The boys tried to get a cookie as fast as they could so they could get back to playing. After enjoying their delicious snack, they decided to play hide-and-seek.

After a few rounds, Cory came up with an idea to make the game more fun.

We should change it up and play in the dark!

Okay! That sounds fun! I'll turn the lights off.

In the middle of the round in the dark, Jack runs into something big, and hears a loud noise followed by the sound of shattering glass.

Uh oh...

Jack's mom heard the loud noise and ran to the kitchen and turns the lights on to find her favorite cookie jar in pieces.

MY JAR! What happened?

In fear that he was going to get in trouble, Jack did the first thing that came to mind. He placed the blame on someone other than him.
