In the city of GArden Heights lived a girl named star and her family the carters.Starr lives with her mom, dad and two brothers Seven and Sekani.





Each of there names have meanings. Starr means for his light in the darkness, Seven is for perfection and Sekani is for joy and happiness.



THey lived a happy life in their house in garden heights it might have not been the safest places but it was home because their people were there. Now you may be wondering what I mean by their people and I mean the amazing African American community
Starr and her family grew up there but lets just say the schools in Garden heights weren’t the best. Starr's mom decided to take her two brothers to a school outside of garden heights to give them the education they deserved.
Starr feels different from the rest of the kids at wilson prep because shes black and they are white.



One of starr's best friends took her to a party where she was reunited with Khalil her childhood best-friend.


Khalil take Starr home after the party but the cops decide to pull them over.





The cop tell Khalil to step out while he looks over his information.
The cop asked star was okay and continued to look over his information.



The cop though khalil was doing something he shouldn't and shot him. Starr began to run to him ans cry



Starr is taken to the police station and questions, She feels so overwhelmed with everything.
