South America is located just underneath North America. North America contains about 12 countries, and it is also located on the bottom left on maps.

The physical features of South America is Andes, Atacama Desert, and another physical feature is the Amazon River. Andes is the longest continental mountain range. The Atacama Desert is just west of Andes and it is a desert plateau that covers 1000-km. The Amazon River is the largest river.

The Andes Mountains is a border that covers Chile and parts of Bolivia and parts of Peru. The Amazon river is a long spanning river that cuts through northwestern Brazil and into parts of Columbia and Edcuador, then finally the Brazilian plateau is a large area of highlands and makes up half of Brazil. These are all major borders of South America.
