-Elsa MoranteElsa Morante is one of the most important Italian writers of the XX century. She was born in Rome, in a family of modest economical conditions. In 1941 she married another famous Italian writer, Alberto Moravia. Besides, she was also a friend of the world-wide famous poet Pier Paolo Pasolini. As for her personality, she was a strong and fierce, sensitive and kind woman. In her works she never ignored issues like the poverty, corruption and misery that characterized Italy in her times.
