Once upon a time, there was a Grandma and a Grandpa who lived in a very big house.

They had everything they wanted. But they were a little bit sad... They wanted a child.

Since they could not have any kids. The Grandma said: "It's OK, I will just make one!"

She made the most delicious gingerbread cookie mix in the world.

Then, once the Gingerbread Man was done, she opened the oven and said "Oh my, you smell so good! You will make the perfect Child"

But all of a sudden, the Gingerbread Man stood up, climbed up the window, and ran away!

Catch him!

He's too fast!

The Gingerbread Man ran and ran. The Grandma and the Grandpa tried to catch him, but all the Gingerbread Man would say is: "You can run and run as fast as you can! You can't catch me -I'm the Gingerbread Man!"

Yummy!

Then, the Gingerbread Man saw Mr. Cat.

Mr. Cat thought "I'm so hungry, what a great meal he would make".

Then, the Cat asked the Gingerbread Man "Why don't you stop for a visit? You smell very good." and the Gingerbread Man replied:

" I ran from the old couple, and now I'll run from you. You can run as fast as you can. You can't catch me- I'm the Gingerbread Man!"
