Elliott Claire and Edith Wren,
You are my sweet little muses. Thank you for inspiring me to see the world through your eyes and for helping me to be a better person because of it.
I love you both so very much.

Just up the road, past the big maple tree, was the home of a dog named Snickers McGee.
He had a big yard where he romped and he played.
And by a tall gate he frequently laid.
One early morning there blew a great wind. It pushed the gate open and a bunny hopped in.
Snickers had never seen such a sight. Could this be a playmate? And he barked with delight.
He ran to his toys which were kept by the wall. And he brought back his favorite, a worn out baseball. They pushed with their noses and played keep away.
Until out through the gate the ball started to stray.
It rolled down the road
As fast as could be.
And they followed it out
Past the big maple tree.
They ran fast behind it
'Til it rolled to a stop.
Right at the base
Of the family's mailbox.
Then both of them ran to a field full of flowers.
Where they romped and they played for over an hour.
Into the forest the two of them roamed. And then Bunny announced "I must head for home." They said their goodbyes and Bunny hopped off. Now Snickers McGee was...
Yes, lost in a strange place that he did not know. And he couldn't decide which way he should go.
Terribly Lost!
When out of the woods jumped a pretty red fox. With 4 soft black paws that looked just like socks. She said, "I think I can hep you. Please don't say no. Through the forest I'll take you. But it's all that I know."
,
They ran through the forest
As if in a dream.
And then came to a halt
At a sparkling blue stream.
"It's here I must leave you
And get back to my wood.
I can't take you further
I wish that I could."
Snickers thanked her profusely as all thank yous should be. And then sat at the stream to see what he could see.
And then the stream rippled and out of the water
popped the furry wet head of a chubby gray otter.
He said, "I think I can help you, please don't say no. Across the water I'll take you but it's all that I know."r
They landed so gently
Both safe and sound.
And then Otter informed him,
"I must turn around."
It's here I must leave you
Good luck on your way.
So glad to have helped you
On this nice summer day."
Snickers thanked him profusely as all thank yous should be. Then walked into a meadow to see what he could see.
