There once lived three little penguins who were
abandoned due to their parents' death in a small ice
cave in the middle of Antarctica where they were
born.Ever since they had to live and survive by
themselves without aid. They had been living in that
same little cave with nothing else except a pile of
frozen fish. They did not have proper names so they
called the oldest Pikguin, Henguin who was the name
of the second eldest and Menguin who was the
youngest most adorable penguin.

One bright, sunny afternoon, the three adorable
little penguins lay on their tummies and slid on
the cold ice to cool themselves under the blazing
sun. At the same time they were trying to balance
as the piece of ice they were sliding on was
bobbing up and down in the freezing ocean water.

Suddenly, they heard a thunderous cracking sound, and the
shelf of ice containing their home slowly began to
disappear. The diminutive ice shelf they were standing on
drifted away from the edge of their home and the three poor
little penguins froze - they did not know how to swim
efficiently as their parents did not teach them before they
died. The small shelf of ice was also beginning to shrink and
shrink due to global warming, until they were huddled
together. They were all very scared and the youngest penguin,
Menguin, soon started crying and mumbling that they were
going to die. The two other penguins stayed calm until the ice
which they were standing on broke in thirds. They held onto
each other tightly even though each of them was on tiny
individual pieces of ice .

Soon, all their surrounding floating ice also
started to break and melt, leaving them more
terrified than ever. Even Pikguin, the eldest, was
becoming scared and losing hope. The three of
them frantically looked everywhere to see if
there were any signs of help and at the same
time the three pieces of ice shrank and shrank.

Finally, out in the distance ,they saw a colossal dark
figure and Menguin immediately stopped crying. Pikguin
was not really sure what the figure was and so he stood
still. Henguin on the other hand waved at the incoming
outline until.......... at the very last second, she realized
what the figure actually was. It was a wave of grotesque
detritus, plastic bags, broken pieces of ships, opened
food cans and many other polluting objects and
substances that had been thrown away by humans. The
three penguins froze in surprise but Pikguin thought
smarter, he used his flippers and tried steering the
groups of ice to the opposite direction of the dumped
rubbish.
