Hi! My name is Earth, and that little white ball, that's my best friend, Moon.

Right now, I see the full moon, but he's starting to disappear. I only get to see my friend once about every 30 days. I get really upset when I see him start to go away.

Today, my job is find out why my best friend keeps disappearing. I think that I'm going to ask my friends in our solar system if they can help me!
LOOK! There's Mars! She's the fourth planet from the Sun, right next to me! Except, she can reach -140 degrees Celsius. That's so cold! Mars and I are both terrestrial planets, which means that we have a rocky and metal composition.

I know that Mars has two moons, Phobos and Deimos. Maybe he can help me figure out why I can't see my friend all the time!

"Hi, Mars!" I said.
"Hi, Earth!" She replied, "What are you up to?"
"Oh nothing, I just miss my friend Moon. You see, he always seems to disappear, and today is one of the worst days. He's completely gone! I was hoping since you have moons of your own, you would be able to help me?" I begged.

"Oh, I don't know, Earth. My moons are so much different than your moon. Phobos moves really fast, he orbits me every 4 hours! Deimos is too slow. They are so much smaller than moon, too. I wish I was able to help!" said Mars.

"Oh man, your moons really are different than mine. Well thank you for trying to help!" said Earth.

Wow, I wonder if anyone will be able to help me! I feel so sad without my friend. I wish he would come back and tell me why he leaves.
Wait, I know! I will ask my friend sun. Maybe he will know where my friend is.

Sun is a star and he is at the center of our solar system. All of the planets revolve around him, so he must know where Moon went. He is made of hydrogen and helium and is 5500 degrees Celcius on his surface.

"Hi Sun!" I yelled.
"Hi Earth. What do you want?" he said in a grumpy loud voice.
I began to tell him about my missing friend, "I am not doing well. My best friend, Moon, keeps disappearing and I was hoping you could help me figure out where he goes!"

"Hmmmm, well Earth," he began to say. "I am the center of our solar system. My gravitational pull keeps all you planets in orbit. In fact, you all revolve around me and I don't have time for your games. I do not know why you cannot see your friend, and I am sorry but you will just have to find him on your own. "

Oh man, why does no one seem to care that my friend keeps disappearing? I hope he is okay!
I guess I will have to wait for him to come back and tell me why he keeps leaving me.
