Stars begin their lives as a stellar nebula. A stellar dust or as I like to call it space dust, float around space.

The stellar dust becomes friends all the other stellar dust and they stick together. They form a main sequence massive star when they come together.

A star spend most of it's life as a main sequence massive star

After a while, the massive star runs out of food. But it starts to eat helium which makes it even bigger and it becomes a super red giant.

The star then explode because it eats so much helium. The explosion is called a supernova.
