Elena was happy when she woke up in the morning.

Today she goes back to School.

She got dressed and ate a healthy breakfast.

Now it was time to catch the bus to school.

Elena's school was huge. It had shiny windows and two red doors in front.

Look, her friends are waiting for her to go to class together.

Her teacher Mrs. Vega was kind and funny. She enjoyed making the kids laugh.

Elena's first grade classroom was big and colorful. It has little desks. And lots of books.

Elena's friends were excited to start first grade too.

Mrs. Vega has a fun filled day for the students. With reading, math, computers and music.

Elena's favorite subjects are reading and math.

She does awesome in both.

She also enjoys lunch and recess. She gets to eat yummy food and play with her friends.

Time to go home. The day was over and the kids were ready to go.

Elena could not wait to tell her family about her first day at first grade.
