This book is dedicated to represent a life of a family before and during the great depression. In the book the Bortskies family own a carrot farm which was prosperous and good. The Bortskies family collect the carrots and later sell them to their neighbors. With the money from the juice he was able to buy carrot seeds and keep their family business going, but suddenly in a turn of event the unexpected happens to this happy rabbit family!












































Once upon a time lived a happy rabbit family by the name of the Bortskies family. The rabbit had two children, a mother by the name of Susy, and a father by the name of George. George had his own carrot juice shop. They were prosperous and wealthy, and their garden was full of carrots.

















































































Then suddenly one morning most of Goerges animal friends lost their jobs and only two of them could afford to buy Georges carrots!



































George starting eating his own carrots, but the animals weren't buying Georges carrots he couldn't afford to buy carrot seeds and refill his carrots in the garden!




























































Soon George was left with only one carrot, and wasn't sure how he would feed his family anymore.
