Karli an her dad were at a barrel racing rodeo. Karli waited for her number to be called with her horse Chocolate Melon or Melon. Karli had three horses and two dogs. Melon sniffed the wind, smelling other horses around. Karli started to mount up. After she was on Melon, she took a deep breath and walked him around a little bit. It was a nice day for a barrel race.

Suddenly, the announcer called Karli's number. As Melon and Karli loped through the gate, Melon took off to a full gallop. They rounded the first barrel with cunning and speed. Melon took off to the second and perfectly rounded it. Finally, Melon rounded the third barrel as perfectly as the first two. Melon ran as fast as he could to the finishing gate. Their time was 14.16 seconds! Karli knew they had won the barrel race!

Karli and Melon had won! A man gave them a trophy and the cash prize of $500.Melon had on his special blanket. It was rainbow. After that, Karli lead Melon back to the horse trailer and loaded him inside. Karli hopped into the truck and took a nap while dad drove home.

The Next morning, Karli woke up to Steel and Muffin licking her face. She picked up her phone and got on Instagram. An hour later, she got out of bed to get breakfast. Soon she would ride other of her other horses, Crayon.

Before Karli rode Crayon she saddled her up and gave her an apple. After Karli was done riding Crayon she began cleaning up the barn because Karli's cousin was coming to visit. Karli cousin was called Mylie. Mylie was mean to Karli. Mylie enjoyed riding Karli's horses. Mylie's car began to pull into the driveway!
