Jane was so excited about having a picnic with her best friend, Eve. She could not wait until Saturday. She would make all of Eve's favorite things. They would play outside in the backyard for hours. It would be a beautiful day. Eve could run so fast and jump up high.

Jane and Eve like to run around the yard and play. They like to jump and skip around. They always had fun playing on the trampoline.

It was finally Friday and school was out. Eve told Jane that her mom would drop her off at her house at 1 p.m. Jane was so ready to go home to start preparing for the picnic. Eve likes strawberries and pineapples. She likes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with a slice of cheese. She loves apple juice. Eve's favorite chips are Cheetos. Jane had all of Eve's favorites. Jane remembered that Eve's favorite color was pink, so she had a pink tablecloth. Jane went over her items to make sure that she didn't forget anything. She had cups, napkins, and spoons. She was ready for tomorrow. Everything was perfect. Nothing could spoil their day.

Jane woke up early on Saturday. She remembered to get the strawberry ice cream out of the freezer and Eve's favorite music. She also brought a pink blanket to lay on under the tree. Jane had everything ready outside for the picnic.
