Ms. Rogahn

It was play time in Ms. Rogahn's kindergarten classroom. Each of the kids got to pick a toy to play with!

2 kids in the class, named Annie and Karissa, wanted to play with the same toy. Annie did not want to share the blocks with Karissa, because she was there first.

Karissa started playing with the blocks, even though Annie did not want her to.
I was here first Karissa! You don't get to use the block because I was here first!
But why can't we just work together? If we both want to play with the blocks, we can build something together.
The girls both compromised and chose to cooperate while building their tower of blocks. Despite the look on Annie's face, they were both happy and are now best friends!

Ms. Rogahn was walking around to check on each of the kids. She couldn't help but notice how great Annie and Karissa were working together.

She gave both of the girls a pink star, and told the other students how great they demonstrated the three C's; Communication, Compromise, and Cooperate.
