I am Carson and it is my first day of 3rd grade. I just moved here and will be starting at a new school. I am super excited to make new friends and learn about my new town!

This is my teacher. Her name is Mrs. Jackson. She is a very nice lady. She said she is excited for the first day because we have another new student in our class, just like me!

It is the first day of school! I get to ride the bus and meet my new friends!

When I got to my classroom, Mrs. Jackson introduced me to everyone! They all smiled and waved to me. Then, Mrs. Jackson brought in our other new student! She seemed very scared. Her name is Gabriella.
I got to sit next to all my new friends at lunch. I noticed that Gabriella was sitting alone. I waved at her to come sit by us, she still looked very scared.

When it was time for recess, I told my friends that we should invite Gabriella to play jump-rope with us. We went to go find her. She was sitting on the swings by herself.
