This is Valentina. Valentina lives in the neighborhood and goes to the park to play with friends every afternoon.

“I wonder what that is,” Valentina said.

One day she notices a shiny object as she and her friend Melanie walk by the sandbox.

“It's a key!" she shouted.

Valentina picks up the object. She feels surprised and excited and wants to know what it unlocks.

“What if there’s a hidden treasure chest in the park?” Melanie asked.

"I agree! I'll go this way," said Melanie.

“Let’s split up and look for it!” Valentina suggested.

Valentina and Melanie came up with a plan.

Melanie goes to the playground to search for the treasure.

"I don't see anything here," said Melanie sadly.

Valentina searched the baseball field for the treasure.

"The treasure's not here," said Valentina.

After a few minutes, they got tired of searching for the treasure and decided to meet under the gazebo.

“What if we never find it?” asked Valentina disappointedly.

Melanie noticed a little door on the floor of the gazebo. They twisted the key and unlocked the door.

“Look, on the floor!” shouted Melanie.

"Let's try and open it with the key," said Valentina.
