When I turn 16-years-old, I can join my community and start working. There are many skills that I can practice to figure out what kind of job I would like to do.

I can practice job skills while I am in school. I can tell my teacher what jobs I like to do in the classroom and what jobs I'd like to do in the community.

I might like jobs that make me use my brain and think.

If I like a job or task in school that makes me think and use my brain, I might like a job in the community where I work in a cubicle, office, library, or where I can practice clerical and computer skills.

I might like jobs that make me do hands-on activities.

If I like a job where I can be outside doing hands-on activities, I might like working as a landscaper, an animal caregiver, an athlete, a builder, or in farms, parks and nature.

I might like jobs that let me create and make things.

If I like jobs that let me create things, I might like to work as a artist who draws or paints. I also might like to work as a photographer, florist, designer, or musician.
