Up In a window of a beautiful house lived a young boy named Ted. Ted looked outside his window every day to the park across from his house where he saw all of the children playing together, having fun on the park and making friends.

He asked his parents “Mum, Dad, why can't I play with the children at the park?” Ted's Mum and Dad replied “Because Ted, there are germs on the swoopy swings, on the slippy slide and the children are carrying the germs on their hands. We cant catch the germs so we need to stay indoors and stay safe”.

Ted couldn't understand. He didn't see anything wrong. Where was the germs? What does a germ even look like? Is it a boy or is it a girl? Do they look like me? The day went on and all of the children had gone home for their tea. The park was silent, lonely and empty until suddenly while peering out at the window, Ted saw a little tiny green figure sat alone beside the slide who looked rather sad.

Ted ran to his parents and asked one more time to play outside! “Please mum and dad! I really want to play! All the children have gone home now, and no one is around. Please can I go to play?
His mum and dad agreed. “Ok Ted, but only as long as you wash your hands, this will help protect you from the germs. Don’t touch your face and as soon as you come inside you will need to wash your hands again”.
Ted washed his hands with lots of bubbly soap and water and before Ted's mum and dad knew it, he was running out of the door as quick as a flash over to the little green figure in the park.
