Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Aviana. Aviana lived with her mommy and her grandma. She called her grandma Mimi.

One day, Aviana's Mimi said, "Hey, it is getting warmer outside. We should plant a garden! We can grow our own vegetables and eat them."
Aviana and her mommy agreed. So they went to the store and bought some special dirt and lots of plants.
When it was morning, Aviana got dressed all by herself. She put on her favorite striped shirt and her
rain boots. Then she began to sing a super
silly song!

Boooo- beee-baaaa
Dee-doo-doo!





Aviana kept singing her silly song and then she went outside to plant her vegetable plants. Before she planted them, she counted them, "1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10."
She counted ten plants in all.

After Aviana counted all 10 of her plants, she helped her Mimi dig holes for the plants. She covered each plant's roots with dirt, just like her Mimi told her. Then she gave each plant a nice, big drink of water. Mmmmm! The plants were so happy!
She liked watering the plants in her garden. She liked watering the smallest one first, then the middle sized one, and the biggest one last.




































Days went by and Aviana took very good care of her garden. One day, she heard someone talking. she looked around and saw a butterfly. The butterfly was talking to her! The butterfly's name was Jake. Jake warned her about a bad bug named Colby. Colby was a grasshopper that liked to eat all of the vegetables in Aviana's garden.

Jake told Aviana that she could make the grasshopper go away, but she had to be very brave. Aviana ran inside and told her Mommy and Mimi what was happening. They thought that she was being silly, since she made up stories and silly songs all the time.
