1: Abyssinian Cat
The Abyssinian has short, "ticked" tabby fur, and it usually is different colours. They have a short form name, Abys. People think that these cats might be some of the oldest animals in existence! And the Abyssinian is also part of the top five most popular cats in the world! They're long, lean, and have cool colours compared to other cats. These cats love to play, so a nickname for them is: "Clowns of the Cat Kingdom."

2: Aegean Cat
These cats come from the Cycladic Islands of Greece. They got their names because the islands are in the Aegean Sea. They are also considered one of the oldest cat breeds! These cats used to live in the wild, but are now very good as a house cat. They are medium sized, muscular, and can have short fur or long fur. Their coat usually has two colours, and almost always one of those colours is white.

The cats came from around here.
3: American Bobtail
These kitties are an uncommon breed that was developed in the late 1960s. It's recognized for it's stubby, "bobbed" tail that's about one third to one half of a normal cat's tail. Because of this, it's similar to a Manx cat. This breed is not related to the Japanese Bobtail, despite the similar name. American Bobtails are very sturdy, with both short and long haired coats. Their coats are usually more shaggy then dense and fluffy.

4: Balinese
The Balinese cat is a long haired, Siamese colored cat with sapphire blue eyes. This cat is also known as the "purebred long haired Siamese," because these cats are like a Siamese because of their long, silky coats, and slightly bushy tail. Because of their Siamese ancestors, the Balinese is a playful, sociable, and a very smart breed.

5: Bambino
The Bambino is a cross between the Sphnx breed and the Munchkin breed. The Bambino cat has short legs, large, upright ears, and is usually hairless. However, some Bambino cats do have fur. The short legs come from the Munchkin, while the no fur comes from the Sphnx. Since this kitty has no fur, it needs to be bathed regularly with warm water and mild soap.

6: Bengal
Bengals have a wild appearance because their golden shimmer comes from their Leopard Cat ancestry, and their coats may show spots, rosettes, arrowhead markings, or marbling. They are an energetic breed needing lots of exercise and play. The Bengal breed was fully developed in the 1980s. By the 2000s, the cats became a very popular breed. In 2020, there are more then 1000 Bengal breeders worldwide.
