What a beautiful experience to go and explore the great outdoors. Seeing so many different types of trees, plants, shrubs, leaves and signs of wildlife habitats. But before you head out, you will need some basic things.

Make sure to have closed toe and sturdy shoes. Wear sun block and a hat would be good whether there is sun or its overcast. Pack some snacks and plenty of drinking water.

Most importantly, be familiar with the trail and aware of your surroundings. Stay on the trail and stay with your group.

Sometimes having binoculars can help spotting and old gray owl or an eagles nest. Also, watch for what can be underground or in holes, pits. But never put your hands in or touch an animals habitat.

Most of all, listen to the sounds and take in all of the wonderful scents that you can only find out in nature. The scent of fresh pine trees, or the sound of the hoot of an owl. Looking at birds perched high on a branch. So much too see, enjoy!
