Exercise: Technological devices

The first device that can be called a "Coffee Maker" was the work of the French pharmacist Francois Antoine Descroisilles, who in 1802 had the happy idea of joining two metal containers and separating them with a plate with holes (what today would be the strainer or filter). His invention was named Caféolette, It was a great success for coffe lovers, its cost was $90.00

Is a partially automated device that was created to play music and also be able to record. It's name used colloquially in Cuba is Vitrole, it was created in 1877 by Thomas Alva Edison, it's price was around $70 dollars, three years after this they modified the design and expanded the functions where the new version cost $$100 dollars.

The first electric toaster was invented in 1893 by Alan Mac Master in Scotland. In order to facilitate the process of toasting the loaves of bread and that children can use it. 

It's price was $37.00

Washing Machine

The first electric washing machine was created in 1901 by an American engineer named Alva John Fisher. He improved hos own model with the use of a tambo. This was created to facilitate laundry washing. I'ts price was $900 dollars

Air Conditioning 

On July 17, 1902, the American Willis Haviland Carrier designed the first modern air conditioning system, this lauching an industrial sector that was going to radically improve the way we live, work and act, the price when it was released was 5,000 dollars.

The blender was created in 1922 by a Polish American named Stephen J. Poplawski. This apparatus was considered as a stirring element, wich was used to mix drinks and milkshakes. At first, the first uses of the blender were destined for hospitals and health centers, it was used as a mixer and grinder for medicines and food for patients. Once pills and capsules began to become popular, the blender became popular in homes, it's price consisted of 800
