Thank you for accepting me into your lives and from coming to get me all the way in California! I love you!

Our first day in California! We are so excited to see where Heather comes from! The first day we are going to a lake called Whiskeytown Lake. She says that it is a federal man-made lake and that there is an actual town under the water! There are even roads still visible from some parts of the lake! Man, I hope there are no monsters!

The next day we went with grandma Judi to a place called "Turtle Bay." (Strange, there were no turtles.) It was a really fun place to learn all about the environment and animals in the region. We also got to feed nectar to parrots while they landed on us. Both fun and frightening!
Today we got to hang out with Uncle Jesse and Aunt Christine! We got to feed the chickens, ride 4-wheelers, eat grapes fresh off the vine and even kill a rattlesnake! We are having an amazing adventure!

On our way home we stopped at a place called Ocean World! Can you believe the size of a great white sharks mouth? They could eat us in one chomp!
We even got to watch a small sea lion show. All the sea lions at Ocean World are rescues that cannot safely be returned to the wild. It was amazing to see how smart the harbor seals and sea lions were! They did lots of jumping tricks and even blew kisses! I can't wait to come back!

Our next stop was in Willow Creek, California. Home of BIGFOOT and the Patterson-Gimlin film! We thought we spotted him a couple of times, but who knows? Wow! Our feet are only a fraction of the size of Bigfoots!

First time dipping our toes in the Pacific! The water is freezing in Northern California and not safe for swimming in this area. We have to be careful. There is an invisible force in the water called an undertow. It will pull us down really fast and far. The beaches up here are not as fun as we see on TV.

Look who we found at the Trees of Mystery! It's Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox! We are about to take a long hike in the forest to see the California Redwoods up close!
