"Wake up! Wake up! It is time to have fun!" I told my daughter, opening the window to wake her up. "Mom, it is Sunday! Why is it so special?" Alice yawned. "It is your birthday today! Happy birthday, Alice!"

"Oh wow! I Can not believe I forgot! Let me get dressed, and then we can have a party!" Alice smiled and ran to her closet to pick an outfit. "I will be downstairs in a minute, mom!"

"Happy birthday, Alice!"  we said when she got downstairs. "Dad made you your favorite, pancakes!" Her brother Andrew said. Yum!

"We have a present for you that we want to show you first!" said Alice's dad. "Come outside!" What could it be?

The family went outside. When Alice saw her gift, she jumped up and down in delight. 
"A car! My very own car! Thanks mom and dad!"
