Hi! I'm going to tell you about a day when my grandma came to visit and share with you some of things I can do now that I'm five years old.

When I woke up this morning, I felt excited because I knew that my grandma was coming to visit today. I got myself dressed and went downstairs to see mommy. 

When I got downstairs, I gave my mommy a hug and told her, "Grandma will be here today!" (CDC, 2020). 

My mom said that we will have to call grandma and tell her our address (CDC, 2020) so she will know how to get here. My mom let's me call grandma and tell her all by myself!

After breakfast, I drew a picture of my grandma while I waited for her to get here. I drew her arms, legs, body, head, eyes, and mouth (Berk, 2013). When I finished I wrote my name (CDC, 2020) on the top of the paper in my best handwriting. 

When grandma arrived, we said goodbye to mommy. I gave grandma the picture I drew of her. She loved it! Grandma told me that she brought a bag of chocolate chips with her. I asked her we could bake (CDC, 2020) chocolate chip cookies. She said yes!

Grandma let me help with the baking. She told me what ingredients we need, and let me pour them into the bowl. While the cookies were in the oven, I sang her songs from school. I sang her "The Isty Bitsy Spider" and I remembered all the words(CDC, 2020)! 

When the cookies are done baking, grandma puts them on a plate to cool. As she puts them on the plate, I count twelve cookies (CDC, 2020).

Grandma tells me that mommy will be home soon. She asks me to bring three cups of milk to the table. I count three cups, and carefully take them from the cupboard to the livingroom.
