The Earth's structure is divided into 3 main parts, The Crust, The mantle, and The core.

Today, we will explore these 3 parts using a stack of pancakes, Yummy!

You can think of the crust, as like the tin layer of butter on the top of the pancakes, in fact the crust is so small compared to the other layers, it doesn't even make up a percent!

That's The Crust!

Now, the mantle is a layer that is in the middle of the crust and the core, it is hot, but not as hot as the core! Think of it as the 3rd pancake in the stack.

The core, is believed to be as hot as the surface of the sun, That's hot! The core is the middle layer, so dense it's compressed into a solid! Think of it as the middle pancake.

That's The Core!
