Water is a very important part of our every day life. We use water to shower, drink, cook, clean, and swim. But have you ever wondered where does water come from?
Earth has been recycling water for over 4 billion years! This is done through a process known as the water cycle. The water cycle is the path that water travels as it moves around the Earth.
The sun heats up the water in rivers, lakes, and oceans. When water becomes too hot it begins to evaporate. This means that the liquid water turns into a gas.
The evaporated water then rises all the way to the sky. Once there it begins to cool down and it turns back into a liquid. This creates clouds and the process is known as condensation.
