Aziz Nesin

[1915-1995]

Mehmet Nusret was born in Hibli Island in Turkey. He was a Turkish writer,humorist and author of more than 100 books.

He chose Nesin meaning "what are you"  and because of agnomen of his dad,

he published his remnant with Aziz Nesin.

In 1944 he has published"TAN" a periodical that became very famous ,but was  banned very soon.

He spending most of his life in prison and he died there too.

This is one of his short story that I am going to  paraphrase it  proudly:

We moved into the house yesterday. It was a picturesque place.

this morning,I {    } went to supermarket to buy cigarettes. While I was seen the around, a strange voice distracted me!

"you shouldn't have rented that house."

I returned to that voice whit goggle eyes!

an old man said that...{      }.

"Is this a new way of saying welcome neighbors?"

I said coldly.

What's do you mean to say we shouldn't?

He wasn't fazed. Thieves break into that house often,It's my neighborly duty to warn you.

When I  was thinking to his letters, I entered to supermarket.

"There are such characters around" I mumbled.

What's matter? Asked the salesclerk.

a ignoramus person told me, that thieves usually rob my new house!

The salesclerk nodded, that person was right!

I was dizzy, whit out  answering him, I walked out of the supermarket.

That night our neighbor visited us. They seemed to be a friendly couple. When they were about to leave, it's such a good house, but  thieves never leave it alone!!!

The husband said.

Altogether,That night I couldn't sleep, I was scared.

Ceaselessly I thought thieves will  want to here.

I must have dozed off. I jumped up at a slight noise and grabbed the gun I had hidden under my pillow.

"Don't move or I'll shoot." I yelled into the darkness.

Due to we moved to this home newly, I couldn't remember where the light switch was.

Groping in the dark, I got entangled in very conceivable object and and bumped into the walls in search of switch. If this wasn't enough some darned thing coiled around my ankles and, whit a resounding crash, I found myself on the floor under the table and because of that my gun had fallen from my hand and bounced away.
