Pumpkins come in all shapes and sizes. You can grow a pumpkin right at home! Pumpkins need warm weather to grow, so it is best to plant them around May to June.

How many seeds can you see?
If you want to plant a pumpkin, the first thing you have to do is find some pumpkin seeds!

Then, you have to find soft soil for your seed to grow. Make sure your pumpkin seed will get plenty of sunlight!
Poke a hole with your finger about 1 inch deep to plant your seed, then cover it up with soil.

After planting, use a watering can to water your seeds. Be patient! Whenever the soil feels dry, give your plant a little extra water.

If your pumpkin seed has plenty of water and sunlight, it will begin to sprout!
Some pumpkins take longer to grow than others. But it should be ready to pick in about 85-120 days!

When your pumpkin is ready to pick, the vines will be shriveled and dried out.

BE CAREFUL, I'M SHARP!
When your pumpkin is ready, a grownup can cut your pumpkin off the vine with a special tool called shears.
